Welcome to the Vale of Aylesbury Athletic ClubThe Vale of Aylesbury Athletic Club is a friendly club for people of all abilities and always welcomes new members from age 8yrs. There are specific groups for 8-10yrs old (Kestrels) and 10-13yrs (Induction) and for the event groups: sprints, endurance, throws and jumps. Training is on a Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 8pm although some groups will meet on other days. Despite the presence of the offputting camera, Sophie Hall grasped the baton for a successful first changeover and the U17 Girls team won the penultimate race at the Eastern's at Hemel Hempstead. Results will be on the powerof10 website

With a heavily plastered thumb from a chopping board incident earlier in the day I ran 2000m steeplechase in 6:44.7 to go #1 for 2010 and #7 All Time on the UK Power of 10 Vet 40 rankings which also impoves my club V40 record by over 35 seconds.

The next meeting is at 8pm on Monday 6th September at the Bricklayers Arms, Aylesbury. The meeting lasts about an hour and if you are involved with young athletes either as a coach or parent please come along.
We have a shortage of Parent helpers in our Tuesdays and Thursdays Jumps Squads. Please would you be free to help us for one hour per week?
If you can help please see Simon Dickerson (generally pole vaulting) or Tricia Mc Sweeney on Training nights.
The success of the Kestrel's group (8-10yrs of age) continues but as a result all places for this group on Tuesdays are fully booked. Places are available for the Thursday sessions. Please contact Pat Card for further information.
