AGM 2011AGM Chairman’s Report 2011Our Club Committees have once again been working hard over the past twelve months to improve your Athletics Club. Coaching We have had planning meetings with regards to introducing Athletics 365 into our Young Athletes Squads and our Squad Coaches are now using Athletics 365 work sheets. We will officially start Athletics 365 on the 1st April 2011 and Jim Rayner will be our new Young Athletes Development Coach responsible for introducing Athletics 365 into our club. Coaches We now have twenty five qualified Athletics Coaches and we will be sending more people on Courses over the next few weeks. Track Certification The Stoke Mandeville Stadium Track and Field facilities have now been inspected by a UKA Facilities Inspector and we now have a Track and Field Certificate. New Southern Athletics League (Joint League) We organised a Senior Athletes Meeting a few months ago and it was decided by our Ladies and Men’s Team members to join the new Southern Athletics League. New Disabled Section We have been holding planning meetings regarding starting a Disabled Section to our Club on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 7pm. Starting in May 2011 Dan Barber has agreed to be the Head of this Section. Community Athletics Coach Our Community Athletics Coach Dan Barber is busy visiting local Schools. Dan has been taking young School pupils for Athletics Sessions and telling them about our Club. This is a good Schools/ Club Link Middle Schools Cross Country Races Our Club has sponsored the Aylesbury Middle Schools Cross Country Races. The organiser of these races is our very own Julia Austin. This is another Schools/ Club link which we have set up. Thank you Many thanks must go to all of our Club Officers, Coaches, Team Managers, Executive Committee, Non Executive Officers, Young Athletes and Senior Athletes Committees for all of their hard work during the past twelve months. We would not be able to run this Club without the help of all of you voluntary unpaid volunteers. Graham Gorman (Club Chairman)
