Vale of Aylesbury Athletic Club

The club is based at the Guttmann Stadium track which is close to the world-famous Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury.

The Vale of Aylesbury Athletic Club caters for all ages from 8 years upwards in the full range of athletic disciplines. There are groups for specific disciplines. Click here for details

Training

General club training takes place at the Stadium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.00pm, generally for 1 hour.

Other groups, such as the beginners and the strength and conditioning take place on other days and during the winter some training takes place indoors.

Sunday Mornings

Training takes place on Sunday mornings where previously arranged. If you would like to train on a Sunday morning please see your coach or the director of coaching, Nick Taylor.

8-10 years

A thriving junior section starts with the Kestrels. Boys and Girls from ages 8 to 10 enjoy fun athletics where the emphasis is on enjoyment rather than competition.

Kestrels meet at 7pm in the club hut on either a Tuesday or Thursday.

The Kestrels are supervised by coaches who are specially qualified to work with young children. All our coaches have been police checked in accordance with the Child Protection Act and the Club has a written Child Protection Policy (available on request)

NOTE: The success of the Kestrels group continues but as a result all places on for this group on Tuesdays are fully booked. Places are available on Thursday. Please contact Pat Card for further information.
