Saturday evening saw the club host it’s awards evening at Rivets Sports & Social Club.
The evening began with a welcome from chair (and secretary) Clare Barker before the mantle was passed on to our two guest speakers for the evening in sprint hurdler Marli Jessop and Triathlete (and club member) Kieran Lindars who spoke about their careers so far including challenges they’ve faced and achievements they’ve had so far in their athletic careers. Questions then came thick and fast from the audience.
Then came the junior awards, followed by a lengthy raffle (while the buffet was consumed) and the senior awards after.
Well done to all of the award winners and thank you to Clare, Pat, Charlotte, Trevor, Dan and the rest of the committee for their hard work in putting the evening together and running it on the night.
