Remembrance Day (Saturday 11th November) marked the second race in the Chiltern
League series and was held at the Teardrop Lakes, Milton Keynes. The course, with the
ground churned up and muddy, produced a new challenge in the shape of hills which added
an extra level of difficulty.
The under 11 (U11) girls team: Shona Esslemont (19th), Ellie Acheson (38th), Imaan Al-
Din (48th) and Daisy Oxlade (52nd) all helped the team finish 8th for the round and 14th
after 2 rounds. The Under 11 boys team: Dexter Kahn (26th), Devon Powell (36th), Zane
Hmaidi (45th), Jenson Bloxham (48th), Sollie Wells (49th), Rohan Martin (50th), George
Collins (53rd), Cooper Paul (54th), Tom Hanbidge (56th), Lachlan Wiseman (59th),
Harvey Barnett (64th), Gennaro Okoroafor (68th) and Ennis Cann (69th) helped them
finish 9th in the round and saw them move up to 6th after 2 rounds.
The under 13 girls team: Gabriella Cheung (6th), Sophie Fawcett (19th), Matilda Waters
(27th), Tilly Valind (29th), Emma Storey (33rd), Annabelle Harrison (37th) and Isla
Roberts (51st) helped the team to 5th after the round and also up to 5th after 2 rounds. The
under 13 boys team: Luca Dolan (9th), Zachary Honour (15th), Peter Cheung (28th),
James Clifford (32nd), George Lloyd (36th), Tom Gaeta (38th), James Randell (41st),
Ethan Alcock (42nd), Harrison Fairburn (43rd), Zac Williams (46th), Michael Okoroafor
(47th), Theo Rickard (48th), Jonny Peel (52nd), Gal Jus (56th) helped the boys team finish
6th for the round and have ensured they stay in 6th after 2 rounds.
The under 15 girls team: Sarah Cintalova (22nd), Holly Dennis (41st), Leia Logan (47th),
Alessia Dolan (49th), Danielle Roberts (50th) and Anushri Joshi (51st) meant the team
finished 8 th on the day and also 8th after 2 rounds. The under 15 boys team: Emile Jansen
Van Rensburgh (25th), Lucas Garner (32nd), Jack Ambrose (37th) and Mikolaj Rozacka
(38th) saw the team finish 6th in the round and ensure they remain in 7th place after 2
rounds.
Once again both under 17 teams lacked participants but those who ran still managed to gain
vital points for the teams. The under 17 womens team: Lucy Cuthbert (21st) and Iona
Esslemont (23rd) were able to enough points to finish 9th for the round and are in 10th after
2 rounds. The under 17 men’s team only had one runner from our club, Rhys Williams
(30th) gained some points to finish 10th in both this round and after 2 rounds.
The senior teams had a wealth of athletes competing and score vital points for the teams.
After 2 rounds the senior men’s team are in 10th, the veteran men’s team are in 15th. The
senior women’s team after 2 rounds are in 10th and the veteran women’s team are in 6th.
For the senior women we had: Sophie Delderfield (7th), Chloe Pollard (57th), Rosanna
Iannone (58th), Sarah Pearse (70th), Becky Lee (90th), Amanda Esslemont (99th), Anna
Cuthbert (104th), Victoria Sheldon (116th), Sue Barnes (151th), Heather Fallaize (162nd)
and Pat Card (178th). In the senior mens team we had: Kieran Lindars (11th), Euan
Anderson (55th), Mark Baines (107th), Robin Barrett (144th), Adam Johnson (145th),
Conor Richardson (159th), Stephen Parsons (164th), Tim Jones (173rd), Richard Day
(187th), Ben Riley (193rd), Marcus Maxwell (203rd), Trevor Lynch (219th), Alan Roberts
(221st) and Mark Fallaize (240th).
A Massive thank you to all the parents who came and supported their children and to
everyone who turned up to run even if cross country is not for them. We had another
fantastic turn out for the club and had someone scoring for every age group. Hopefully we
will see you all at Luton for the third round (Saturday, 2nd December).
