We hope this email finds you and those around you fit and healthy.
After a prolonged lay off since the pre-Christmas lockdown, it appears that the light may well be finally shining at the end of the tunnel and our return to the track may be on the way. Again, we would like to thank you all for your support and patience over this latest lockdown period and following this week’s Government announcement, we thought the time was right to update you on where we are.
Potentially, tracks may be allowed to reopen as of the 29th March, however, please bear in mind that our circumstances are slightly unique as the Stadium is hosting the government Vaccination Centre which is likely to remain on-site into the summer. We hope to have news by the end of next week as to when and how we will potentially be able to return to training and we will email this to all current members as soon as we have it. We have remained in close contact throughout lockdown with the Stadium Management who know we are eager to return as soon as we can.
Rest assured that the club has continued to operate under lockdown and regular committee meetings have been conducted virtually to ensure that all necessary planning and paperwork has been done and as a club, we can be ready to return to the track in a very short period of time.
Finally, with regards to the membership for the coming year, we will again look to support our members as much as possible and will be able to give you an update for the coming year’s membership charges immediately following the club AGM on 8th March 2021.
We look forward to seeing as many of you returning to training as possible in the near future with the increasing hope of us being fully involved in an outdoor summer season this year,
