Vale’s middle distance runner Patch Taylor is delighted that a 3 year PB drought is finally over. A long list of injury problems has been very frustrating for the athlete but in two weekends, he ran 3 new PBs in 4 races.
Patch entered this years Southern Championships with a PB of 1:53:28 set in 2013. He finished 4th in the final but despite just missing out on a medal was pleased to get a tiny PB of 1:53:26. The following weekend a the Nationals held in Bedford, he ran 1:52:37 in the heats to qualify for the final and his third PB came in the final itself where he finished in bronze medal position in a time of 1:51:86. Ecstatic doesn’t quite cover the emotions felt!
