On Saturday 4th July Andy Rolt took part in the Charmouth Challenge Britain’s most southerly fell race in 22’c heat and high humidity. In Andy’s own words “this was a very tough one!” The total ascent was 1,875ft, over 7.8 miles with a Fell Runners Association grading of BM which means ‘very hilly and you will be gone for some time!’
Andy finished 18th overall and 7th V40 runner in 59:51. However, he reports that “there was no one older than me ahead of him which I was obviously very pleased with”.
