Dear Members,
Following the closure of the club before Christmas in line with the latest Coronavirus restrictions we are now able to give you an update as to our current position.
Stoke Mandeville Stadium is now being used as a Vaccination centre and remains closed. We are in close contact with the Stadium operator and it looks unlikely that there will be any change to their closure before the end of this membership year (end of March 2021). While this is not the update we were hoping for, I’m sure we all recognise the importance of the work being carried out at the Stadium currently. Should Coronavirus restrictions be lifted and training allowed to resume before this time, then we will obviously approach the Stadium in the hope of returning to training at the earliest possible stage. The club has ensured that all relevant paperwork and procedures are already in place to allow us to return at the earliest possible opportunity and again in a Covid Secure Environment.
The club AGM Is scheduled to take place in early March and at that point, a decision will be made on how we approach membership and membership fees for the coming membership year. The club has sought to support our members thus far during the pandemic and we will seek to do similar for the coming year.
In the meantime, we hope you all stay safe, as fit as possible and we look forward to seeing you all when we once again resume training in the current months,
Thank you for your patience and continued understanding during the difficult times,
VoAAC Committee
