The Annual Hardwick X-Stream race took place on Valentines Day, and for the second year in a row, Vale’s Chloe Oldfield won the ladies race, finishing 8th overall in a time of 42:34.  This is a tough and hilly 10k event off road which is run at Manor House Farm in Hardwick and is not only a cross country race, it also has a water feature!

This year 200 runners completed the course, and Vale had 6 competitors taking part. The first of our athletes to cross the line was U17 Harri Kane who finished in 4th place with an excellent run in 38:29 an improvement on last year when he finished 9th.  Chloe was in 8th place and next home was Will Lightfoot finished 10th in 43:11.  Alan Roberts was the 9th V50 to finish in 33rd spot; we then had two more ladies Leonie Glasson (53:56) and Mandie Fickling (62.25).

Congratulations to all who took part in this tough event and thanks to Bearbrook Running Club for organising the event..  Full results can be found at: http://www.thepowerof10.info/results/results.aspx?meetingid=157687
