Richard BazeleyThe Club’s Grand Prix is underway, and round 2 saw 4 Club members taking part in the Andy Reading 10k, organised by Alchester Running Club.  The course is fairly flat and generally considered a quick one unless the wind is blowing around the airfield which unfortunately it was on this cold Sunday morning!

First home for the Vale was Tim Jones (37:03) setting out to defend his GP title. Tim finished 21st overall and 2nd V50. Next home in 26th place was Richard Bazeley in 37:42 followed by Alan Roberts 129th in 45:32 who goes top of the GP having run both the 2 opening rounds. All 3 played their 1st Joker and age graded bonus points went in the same order as they finished.

The lone lady out was Sharon Maisey and like Alan goes top of the GP having run in both opening rounds. Her time was 54:39 for 268th overall which automatically gave her the 5 age graded bonus points.  Thanks to Barry Cornelius for the photographs.
