The annual CAU Inter County Championships which included the World Trials & British Athletics Cross Challenge took place at Cofton Park on the weekend in excellent running conditions.
Vale had a good selection of athletes competing for Buckinghamshire, and one for Oxfordshire. Max Perry finished 32nd in the U13 race where 300 athletes finished the 3k course. In the U17 age group, Sarah Shepherd and Alice Wright both ran well 115th and 163rd from just under 300 athletes.
The Men’s U20 category had two Vale athletes. Christian von Eitzen was running for Oxfordshire and finished in 80th position with Patch Taylor for Bucks not far behind in 94th; both boys were first home for their respective counties. Julia Austin and Rob Taylor competed for the Senior teams both finishing around the middle of the pack.
