Everyone at the Club knows how much James Davis loves his running. However, on Saturday he showed true dedication in dreadful conditions. Finding that the Aylesbury Parkrun was cancelled due to the poor weather, he drove swiftly to Tring to take part in their event but missed the start. Undaunted, he set off about 7 minutes after everyone else in awful weather. This picture which was taken by Gary Evans has been voted a national winner and is now the cover photograph on Parkrun UK’s facebook page with almost 500 ‘likes’ so far. James completed the 5k course in 27:10 (that time includes the 7 minutes or so he missed at the beginning) just 9 minutes behind the winner!
