Richard Bazeley took part in the BUPA Great South Run on Sunday and is understandably very happy with his time of 61:32, a few seconds short of an 8 minute PB for the 10 mile distance. He finished in 126th place from 1500 runners.
Asked for his feelings about the race, Richard said: “It was a great race which was really well supported by the local crowds, and the route took in Portsmouth’s amazing sites, the Gunwharf Quays Spinnaker Tower, The HMS Warrior and HMS Victory in the historic dockyards. There was an unfortunate headwind in the last 2 miles to battle against for the finish line though.”
Richard met Team GB’s Gemma Steel afterwards who had finished 2nd in the women’s race so he managed to sneak onto the podium!
