Vale’s Max Perry has finished the track season on a real high. The U13 athlete competes in the middle distance category of the sport and has now broken 3 Club Records!
We reported back in July that he had broken Patrick Taylor’s U13 Club Record at 1500m. He has now taken Patrick’s 800m record and Kieran Lindars’ 3000m record.
Max ran at the Watford Open Meeting event on 10 September in the 800m event. He was chasing Patrick’s 2008 record of 2:18:52 and was thrilled to cross the line in 2:17:41. The icing on the cake was again at Watford two weeks later when he ran his first competitive 3k. The 2009 Club Record was held by Kieran (10:58:9) and Max smashed that time finishing in 10:02:92!
