GB athlete Ben Gregory has come a long way since competing for Vale of Aylesbury AC as a 12 year old. Having moved through the ranks at the Club he is now a regular in the Welsh and GB squads for multi eventing.
Ben has not long returned from injury and was on great form last weekend at the England & Wales Athletics Senior Combined Events Championships which were held in Sheffield. Ben took first place in the Senior Men’s Heptathlon having finished the first day in 3rd place following a consistent first four events. However, on day two an 8.27s 60m hurdles earned him 915 points and moved him to 2nd place. His superb 4.91m pole vault gave him 883 points which put him in the overall lead with just the 1000m left. A solid 4.42.57 saw Gregory home with a total of 5,662 points to take the title with a season’s best performance.
